Author Biography: Fremdkorper, a design studio in Potsdam, Germany, was founded by Andrea Mehlhose and Martin Wellner in 1996. After showcasing designs several European furniture and accessory design fairs promoting young and emerging designers, they were invited to participate in international exhibits in Belgium, France, Italy, USA, Germany, and Japan. In addition to commissioned projects to corporate, product, and graphic design, they work on their own designs, which aim to creatively break with traditional expectations. In keeping with this intention, Fremdkorper presents an overview of 150 years of furniture history, in which well-known design icons can be found alongside commonplace and avant-garde pieces."
