Author Biography: Piers Torday was born in Northumberland. His career started in theatre and live comedy at the Edinburgh Festival. He then moved into television, where he develops programme ideas. Piers' father is the celebrated author Paul Torday (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen). The Last Wild is Piers' first novel.
