What is a father capable of in order to save his son, who is being swallowed by a ghost that has settled in his dreams?... Obviously, there is no child in the world who does not have scary dreams. But what to do if the horror from a dream gradually creeps into real life? Two-year-old Theo's heart suddenly stopped during a simple operation. For thirty-six seconds, the baby stood on the border between the world of the dead and the living. And then he returned. Two years passed before Myron Belinsky realized that his son had not returned alone. Something came with Theo: it latched on and slipped into consciousness while the boy was on the other side of the line that most of us cross only once. In a desperate attempt to save his son, Myron leaves for America, where the latest advances in neurotechnology allow a glimpse into human sleep. He has no idea that the desire to help leads to disaster, because the worst will begin as soon as the one who settled in the dreams of little Theo realizes that he is being watched.
