Kurzbeschreibung: "Sicher!" is a modular course that provides learners at intermediate level with a solid foundation in the language skills needed for everyday use, academic study and vocational training. All modules present different text styles dealing with a wide choice or topics and a variety of well-designed tasks and exercises. Each lesson follows a particular theme and a modular pattern of reading, listening, writing, speaking, vocabulary and grammar. Each module ends with a checklist for learners to monitor their progress. Cultural knowledge plays an important part in the course with the choice of texts and their exploitation implicitly providing information about Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Facts and figures are clearly explained under the heading Wussten Sie schon?" giving students access to a wealth of information to help them master everyday situations. A DVD with film material for listening and visual comprehension accompanies the course.
