Description: This secondary course is one of a new generation designed around the recommendations of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It cannot be emphasised too strongly that the CEFR, which now forms the basis of language teaching and learning in most EU countries and an increasing number beyond, has become the 'de facto' standard for the assessment of language skills in commerce and academia for all but the simplest jobs.At the centre of the CEFR and of this course, are task-based activities which put the pupil at the centre of the learning process. The objectives set out in the coursebooks are mostly familiar enough. The exercises and activities are, however, often very original and engrossing, and always make the pupil the leading actor in his/her own learning.The coursebooks are attractively illustrated with a mixture of photos and drawing in full colour throughout, and introduce cultural similarities and contrasts from the start. Both coursebooks and workbooks include CDs for the pupils, so they are never without good models of the spoken language. Composé de 6 unités, le Livre de l'él?ve propose :
•une page de garde qui annonce la t?che ou le projet final ? réaliser en fin d'unité,
•des activités qui permettent de travailler et de combiner différentes compétences écrites et/ou orales,
•différents échantillons de langue (en bleu pour l'écrit et en rouge pour l'oral),
•une double page intitulée Quartier libre qui reprend les th?mes de l'unité mais sur un autre ton, celui du magazine de la presse pour jeunes adolescents, comme le rappelle le format de cette rubrique,
•une t?che finale qui va permettre ? l'él?ve de constituer un dossier en fran?ais dans la ligne des recommandations du Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues,
•une préparation au DELF A2.
