New Dark Ages. Colony (Ukrainian)

2141. Humanity on Earth has not yet recovered from the Clodis disease, which led to the largest pandemic in half a century, when a new pathogen appears that infects exclusively pregnant women. A group of immunologists are trying to find out what it is and whether its appearance is connected with neutrino flashes recorded around the planet. They lose the fight for jobs in the science-intensive economy of Mars to super-specialists from Earth and are forced to toil like slaves on low-skilled manual labor. The more of them reach adulthood, the more they crave change, not realizing that these changes threaten the very existence of the Colonies. This is a story about how man, despite all his achievements, does not change, and neither increasing life expectancy nor even transforming into a two-planet form guarantees salvation for humanity.
