That book will launch the line in October with a story that finds Malcolm Reynolds, the captain of Serenity and its crew, kidnapped by "a bunch of embittered veteran Browncoats." For anyone new to the franchise, Browncoats were the nicknames for the rebels who lost an intergalactic civil war with the Alliance.
