This text is a companion volume to 'Quarantine Pests for Europe', 2nd edition, and 'Illustrations of Quaratine Pests for Europe'. These three titles are the result of collaboration between CABI and EPPO in the compilation of data on pests of quarantine significance for the European and Mediterranean region. Early work on the mapping of these pests was funded by the European Union. This book covers approximately 330 pests for which data sheets and illustrations are already available. A map is provided for each species showing the world distribution and this is accompanied by a list of the countries and subnational areas in which the species is recorded, and its current status. The pests include insects, mites, nematodes, fungi, bacteria, viruses amd virus-like organisms, and parasitic plants. This work is aimed to plant health officers, phytosanity inspectors and researchers in crop protection.
