Author Biography:
John Steel has been lecturer in Journalism Studies at Sheffield University since 2005, where he teaches courses on journalism history, political communication and freedom of speech and censorship. His own research focussing on these same fields, along with the theory and practice of journalism education and a joint study with Martin Conboy on news history.
