New Challenges 2 Student'S Book (A2)

Description: New Challenges helps students become more effective learners and better citizens of the world through personal development. The information-driven approach in New Challenges encourages teenagers to think about the world around them and provides lively achievable tasks, building their confidence, creativity, participation and performance. With New Challenges teachers make lessons educational, successful and fun!

Students move from a beginner level into secondary methodology which then prepares them for a more formal learning environment. Levels 1 and 2 cover the key objectives in the Council of Europe's Waystage level (A2), corresponding to CESOL's KET exam. Levels 3 and 4 cover all the key objectives in the Council of Europe's Threshold level (B1), corresponding to CESOL PET exam, as well as some of the objectives in the Vantage level (B2). The Workbook and Multi-ROM include preparation and practice for these exams.

The new Starter level is for zero beginners introducing them gently into English in a Secondary school.
Level 1 is for false beginners and it takes students from A1+ to A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.
Level 2 covers most competencies of A2 level described in the Common European Framework of Reference.
Level 3 covers all competencies of A2 level described in the Common European Framework of Reference and introduces competencies from B1 level.
Level 4 covers all competencies of B1 level described in the Common European Framework of Reference.

Levels 1-4 consist of an extended Get Ready revision section and eight modules of the core material – all manageable in one academic year

The digital, eBook version of the Students' Book with interactive activities, audio and video.

Workbook with Audio CD
Workbooks include extra language practice for the material introduced in the Students' Books and also provide additional grammar reference, practice exercises and word lists. Each Workbook comes with an audio CD for students.

Class Audio CDs
Three audio CDs for each level contain listening activities, unit stories and other audio recordings for classroom use.

Teacher's Book
The Teacher's Book provides lesson notes, answers to exercises and Students' Book pages all in one volume. Using teacher’s notes has never been easier.

Teacher's Resources Multi-ROM
Comes with the Teacher's Handbook for levels 1, 2 and 3 and provides a multitude of essential resources: Teacher Development Workshops, photocopiable resources, videos and video worksheets. It also contains print ready tests and easily customisable tests with answer keys.
