ENGLISH GOALS 1 TEACHER’S BOOK + DIGITAL BOOK + ONLINE RESOURCES (PRE-A1)

English Goals is an innovative English language course for lower secondary school students (11-15 y/o) in four levels. The syllabus aims to develop language skills and knowledge as defined by the Council of Europe in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), taking students to B1 level of competences over the course of four years.

English Goals has a communicative and fully inclusive approach to language teaching and is designed specifically to motivate and engage students. Stimulating texts and activities help develop life skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking and effective communication.

Features
• Wide variety of texts aimed at introducing global issues and topics from the English-Speaking World.
• Vocabulary videos to allow students to see new words in a communicative context, helping them with comprehension and memorisation.
• Communication videos to engage students and encourage them to practise oral communication.
• Mediation tasks to develop mediation competences, as required in the latest update to the CEFR (levels 3-4).
• 2030 Agenda lessons to get to know some of the 17 Goals of Sustainable Development (levels 3-4).
• Attention to D.E.I. (diversity, equality, inclusion) with appropriate content and choice of activities.

Teacher’s Book
The Teacher’s Book contains all the solutions to the exercises, and the audio and videoscripts for the Student’s Book & Workbook, as well as additional notes on teaching, culture, flipped classroom pathways and inclusivity. It also includes tests and resources for extra activities.
