Terry Eagleton is Professor of Cultural Theory and John Rylands Fellow, University of Manchester. Among his many books are Figures of Dissent, The Function of Criticism, Heathcliff and the Great Hunger, After Theory, Holy Terror and Literary Theory: An Introduction.
