Jean-Pierre Corteggiani is Head of Scientific and Technical Relations at the Institut Francais d'Archeologie Orientale, a research institute based in Cairo dedicated to the study of the archaeology, history and languages of ancient Egypt. He has written numerous well-received books on the subject.
