Author Biography: Marc Dupuis is a marketing and retailing professor at the Paris Graduate School of Management (ESCP Group). He has been visiting professor at universities in Russia, the USA and Asia, and is the author of many books and articles. As a consultant, he remains in close contact with retailers and their suppliers. John Dawson is professor of marketing at the University of Edinburgh and is visiting professor at ESADE, Barcelona. He has been visiting professor at universities in the USA, Australia and Japan and has been actively involved in researching retail issues for thirty years. His research interests are in international retailing, distribution channel relationships and public policy issues in retailing.
