DELTA READERS A2:GLASGOW MEETS EDINBURGH (DELTA READERS:CULTURE AND DIVERSITY)
Ian's from Glasgow. He's just moved to Edinburgh with his dad. He doesn't like anything about Edinburgh, and trying to settle into a new school with a Glaswegian accent and dyslexia is not working out well. Jessie lives in Edinburgh with her mum. Everything Jessie does is wrong - however helpful she is at home. Upcycling clothes and literature keep her happy, but she has to hide the literature part from her friends, as it really isn't cool. They are about as different as the way fish and chips are served in Glasgow and Edinburgh, but as Ian and Jessie overcome personal challenges, their relationship grows.

There are a range of activities in the books to test comprehension, improve vocabulary and grammar, as well as encouraging critical thinking.
