This is a perfect read aloud book for ages 3+ and is one which will help them make sense of their feelings. Simply told with appropriate, sensitive language, it is so cleverly illustrated it could be understood even if you were not to read the words. What makes this book stand out is the presentation of the pages with cut-out shapes highlighting the colours and images; I especially love the reflection of the child's face in the puddle. Author Biography: Laura Dockrill, a graduate of the Brit School of Performing Arts, is a performance poet, an author and an illustrator. At the age of twenty-two, she was named one of The Times' "Top Ten Literary Stars".
