A woman and her "relationship" with the world is the main theme of Olga Kobylyanska's prose. To marry happily or to neglect personal happiness for the sake of art? This is the point at which searches are focused in the story "By Situations" and the short story "Ideas". A fatal coincidence, mystical signs and hypnosis sessions are intertwined with conversations about people and music, the choice of a life path and the chaos of a woman's soul, money and betrayal in its various variants. And there are two men between whom it is impossible to find a balance for a girl with a whimsical character and an exotic name Aglaya-Felicitas in a world that is already feeling the breath of the First World War.
