For each of the levels, this practical pedagogy guide offers a "turnkey" method for building the skills and knowledge expected in mental arithmetic.

This guide offers eight modules covering the four operations +, -, x, ÷. Each module includes a scenario based on a game and 5 lessons made up of:

a discovery phase aimed at bringing out the resolution procedures of each student and allowing them to be compared. This phase ends with the construction of a written record;
a training phase allowing students to reuse and systematize the procedures through exercises and problems.
The module concludes with a review session of learned procedures and a photocopiable evaluation.
