In a village by the sea lived two brothers, Ti-Jeannot and Gros-Jean. Both were fishermen, but the first was as poor and thin as the other was rich and plump. Ti-Jeannot's family often didn't have enough to eat. And the day came when they had nothing left. Outside, it was snowing, and there was no wood for heating.
