This course for the first time combines the Russian and American approaches to teaching Russian as a foreign language. The classes are aimed to create effective intercultural communication. They help to develop students' critical thinking skills and their ability to make decisions, as well as to advance their skills in intercultural communication.

This book is the first one in the series. Each book in the series has two themes, and each theme includes 10 lessons and answer keys.

The textbook is aimed at students learning Russian as a foreign language at level B1 and above. It also will be interesting to anyone who would like to improve their Russian as a foreign language.
