Messages 1 Teacher's Resource Cd-Rom

Description: Messages is a new four-level course for lower-secondary students.
Each level contains 6 modules of two units, each divided into 3 manageable 'steps'.
Clear aims and outcomes for each step mean students can put what they learn into practice immediately.
Each level of the course provides 80-90 hours of classwork with lots of recycling in regular four-page sections.
Level 1 assumes students have studied English at primary school, but gives full coverage of all basic language areas.
The course takes students to an intermediate level by the end of level 4.

Teacher's Book contains extensive notes on how to use the material in the Student's Book. Background information on the texts and topics is provided, as well as options for extending practice of key language points. There are answer keys and tapescripts for the Student's Book and Workbook.

Extra support is available online in the form of grammar worksheets, Portfolio Builders, EAL support and graded Infoquests with accompanying worksheets.

A Teacher's Resource Pack containing photocopiable tests, extra activities and drills is also available separately.

This CD-ROM helps teachers use Messages level 1 with their EAL groups, preparing students for participation in mainstream classes. It contains over 350 pages of support material and worksheets which include: worksheets to cater for mixed-ability classes, work on the alphabet and letter formation, assessments and flashcards, British and Irish culture worksheets, teacher's notes with Individual Learning Plan and Individual Record Sheet templates.
