How to deal with cycle 3 students who, if they master the technique, do not always understand what they read? How to make them progress towards a more fluent reading and help them to better access the meaning of the texts? How can we reverse the statistics which, year after year, tell us that more and more pupils arrive in 6th grade without knowing how to read? It is because we found ourselves faced with these questions that we oriented ourselves towards a teaching of reading different from what we practiced until then.
We offer and explain in this book: The process (mini-lesson / independent reading / review) and the gradual implementation of DECLIC reading workshops in class.
