Parts of speech, tenses of verbs, punctuation and sentence structure are all dealt with in this child-friendly introduction to the rules of grammar. The rules are illustrated by means of short stories, including the further adventures of Ponti Panda.
Author Biography:
Irina Tyk is an honours graduate of the University of London. She haslectured at the University of Wales and the University of St. Andrews.Presently she is the Headmistress of Holland House School, anindependent preparatory school.She believes in the intellectual development of very young childrenin the structured environment of whole-class teaching. She believesthat after one year at school children should be able to readindependently. She continues to present these views on televisionand in public debate.Irina Tyk is a director of The Butterfly Project, set up in 1991, andof Butterfly Educational Enterprises, set up in 2005, to run summercourses for children who wish to benefit from a rational and purposeful teaching approach.
